Peppermint Oil Ideas for Horses:
Make sure you test any essential oil before using it on your horse. If your horse refuses to sniff it, you should not apply it.
If they seem attracted and like to sniff it, here are some ideas for using it.

• Add one or two drops to a cup of Epsom salts in a bucket of water and sponge the horse for a cooling effect.
• Add to your homemade fly spray to deter flies.

Common uses: Peppermint essential oil has been known to help relieve symptoms of headaches and migraines when used on a cold compress and applied to the temples. 
Corn Mint - is also used for repelling rats! 

Caution: Mentha arvensis is considered more toxic than Peppermint as it has a higher Pulegone content. Avoid during pregnancy.
